Happy to say that Birdfeeder is back, and it's better than ever before. Over the past weeks I was working on bringing back Birdfeeder that I've previously shut down at the beginning of 2023 because of the then drastic changes to the API pricing.
Over the past years the API has improved and now offers pricing options that suit small developers like myself again. The core feature set is still simple and focused on making it easier to not lose track of your X bookmarks with weekly reminders, a powerful full text search and an archive that keeps your bookmarks around even if the original post goes away.
Additionally there's now some new features:
- A media tab, browse all the images from your bookmarks in a fast and visual way through our new image gallery
- New analytics, which accounts are you bookmarking the most, how many of these are verified? More to come soon.
- Support for other platforms like Bluesky and soon Mastodon.
- An easy export of your bookmarks as a structured data export (JSON, XML etc.)
