Planning a Trip with an AI Agent, Using Birdfeeder's MCP Server

I asked an AI agent what I had bookmarked about London that was worth visiting. It found places I had saved on X (Twitter) earlier and forgotten about. That works because the agent was connected to my bookmark archive through Birdfeeder's MCP server, so it answered from my own saves instead of a generic web search.
What the agent found in my bookmarks
It came back with a tropical greenhouse hidden on the third floor of the Barbican, and a café inside a Christopher Wren church that I had bookmarked from Londonist weeks earlier. Plus a pub from 1668 right across the street from it.
I hadn't described any of this to the agent. It found it because I had already bookmarked it once.
Why my own bookmarks beat a generic search
A web search gives you the same list of places everyone else gets. My bookmarks are things I already picked out because they looked interesting to me. The problem is finding them again. X's bookmark tab has no search at all, so once you're past a few dozen saved posts, finding one later gets annoying fast.
Birdfeeder saves your X, Bluesky, Mastodon and Nostr bookmarks and lets you search all of them. The MCP server gives that same search to any AI agent you use, not just the Birdfeeder website.
How I set it up
I used Hermes Agent and pointed it at the Birdfeeder MCP server with the token from Birdfeeder's Settings. The steps for Claude Desktop are in my MCP walkthrough.
You can connect other MCP tools to the same agent, like an RSS reader or a notes app, and it will pull from all of them in one answer.
What else you can ask
The MCP server is included on every plan. There's nothing extra to set up beyond copying the token. And it isn't limited to trip planning. Once it's connected, an agent can answer from your bookmarks for whatever you ask it. More on the MCP server page.
